I have studied Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I have recently completed my PhD in Waste Stabilization. During my studies I had the opportunity to be a senior member of the student team “Physics Partizani” where we promoted Physics in schools and outdoor events with simple experiments. Pint of Science is a very interesting way to communicate science to the public in a relaxing pub with a pint of beer in our hand. Looking forward to meeting you!!!
Scientist by nature and engineer by discipline, with an inherently curious mind and a PhD in Civil Engineering. I study sea waves (from the ones you see at the beach up to tsunamis), coastal morphology, coastal protection, and climate change adaptation in harbours and coastal areas. Science communication is a continuous endeavour, as is science itself. What better way to start this journey than with a pint of beer in your hand? Follow, connect and enjoy!
I am an agronomist-researcher at the Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization–Demeter. I have a PhD in Plant Genetics and Breeding and my work focuses on the employment of modern -omics technologies in applied plant research towards making crops more productive and of higher quality. I am very passionate about science communication and heavily invested in making “plant blindness” a thing of the past in science talks. It will be my first year in Pint of Science so I’m very excited to meet and connect with you. Come join!
I am the founder and CEO of 3asyR, a web application that helps dyslexics and other people with reading difficulties to have an easier and better online reading experience. Before entrepreneur-ship "got me", I had also studied Journalism & Mass Communication and Accountancy. I have worked in business administration as well as in the media sector, as a social media manager, writer and radio producer. Pint of Science is a great way to spread the word about the marvels and mysteries of science. Come join us!
